Principal's Message

Ruby Drive provides an opportunity for all to achieve at their highest level as individual citizens of our campus, our neighborhood, our state, and our nation. The foundation of the Ruby Drive experience rests on high expectations in behavior, citizenship and academics. Whether at their student desks, the lunch tables, or playground, excellence of character is expected. And, Ruby Drive students deliver! They are the best.

Academic expectations are equally as high as the ones for personal character. As Ruby Drive students prepare for work and careers in a competitive world, success in academics is essential.  The Common Core Standards being implemented across the nation and rigorously at Ruby Drive will allow our students to stand tall among their peers worldwide. The teachers are involved in on-going trainings and staff development in the new Common Core Standards. Excellence and high expectations are at the heart of everyone of the talented staff members who guide the instruction of Ruby Drive students.

Parent involvement is an important key to any successful school. For it is in the home that the foundation is laid for a student to strive for excellence and to be his best. The Ruby Drive PTA, English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), and School Site Council (SSC)  are just a few of the ways parents can join in the goal setting and support for the school. Volunteers are always welcome and never without a way to help in the classrooms. Students love to see their parents at school even if only available for Back to School Night and Open House.

Communication is a fundamental key to helping all members of our Ruby Drive community reach our common goal: Excellence for all. Notes home, notes to school, calls, meetings between parents, teachers and principal are all ways that we can stay in touch and let our students know that we are all working for their success. WE all need to write the note, make the call, schedule the meeting to help the child.

A special place with special teachers, special parents and special students, that is the Ruby Drive Advantage.
